Bayern Munich reportedly plan to keep defender David Alaba, despite suggestions of interest from Barcelona and Manchester City.

Bayern Munich reportedly have no plans to part ways with David Alaba during the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old has spent the last eight years with the German champions, making a total of 314 appearances in all competitions.

Despite remaining a regular in the starting lineup, there has been talk of an exit, with Barcelona and Manchester City having been linked with the Austria international.

However, according to Bild, Bayern have no intention of selling Alaba before the start of the new season.

Alaba had been mentioned in a potential part-exchange deal for Man City's Leroy Sane, while Barcelona are looking for competition for Jordi Alba.
