Preview: Manchester City vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole previews Newcastle United's trip to the Etihad Stadium to play Manchester City.

Manchester City face Newcastle United on Saturday hoping to hit back from their 2-0 defeat to Everton two weeks ago.

Manager Roberto Mancini has already written off his side's chances of retaining the Premier League trophy, but the Italian boss will expect a response from his team as they look to seal second place.

Striker Sergio Aguero could return to the starting lineup after injury, while Vincent Kompany is in contention after playing for Belgium in midweek.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has injury worries at full-back as his team look to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Wigan Athletic.

Massadio Haidara remains on the sidelines, despite avoiding serious injury after a knee-high challenge from Callum McManaman at the DW Stadium.

Mathieu Debuchy also remains a doubt after he was deemed unfit to play for France last weekend.
