Carlos Tevez loses his place in the Manchester City starting lineup for tonight's encounter with Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium.

Carlos Tevez has been dropped to the Manchester City bench for this evening's must-win Champions League encounter with Real Madrid.

The Argentine's place has gone to Edin Dzeko, who will partner Sergio Aguero.

In defence, former Brazilian international Maicon will start at full-back.

Visiting Madrid will start with Cristiano Ronaldo in a free role. The Portuguese international was sent off twice at the Etihad Stadium during his spell as a Manchester United player.

Man City: Hart; Maicon, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic; Kolarov, Yaya Toure, Silva, Nasri; Dzeko, Aguero
