Georginio Wijnaldum 'considering Liverpool exit'

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly considering his future at the club following the summer arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly considering his future at the club due to concerns over the amount of playing time he will be given next season.

The Reds have strengthened their midfield area during the summer transfer window through the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho, while they are also understood to have begun talks over a move for Xherdan Shaqiri.

Emre Can has left the club on a free transfer, but Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain provide further competition for places in the middle of the park.

Turkish outlet A Sport reports that Wijnaldum is weighing up his options and could leave Anfield to join Fenerbahce.

The 27-year-old's former PSV manager Philip Cocu is currently in charge of the Istanbul club and is thought to be interested in the prospect of linking up with the Netherlands international once again.

Wijnaldum featured 49 times for Liverpool across all competitions last season, playing a key role in helping the club to the Champions League final.
