Sevilla confirm Iago Aspas loan

La Liga side Sevilla confirm that Liverpool striker Iago Aspas will spend the 2014-15 season on loan at the Spanish club.

Sevilla have announced that they have signed Iago Aspas on loan from Liverpool for the 2014-15 season.

The striker joined the Reds from Celta Vigo last summer, but struggled to secure a regular place in Brendan Rodgers's side.

A statement from the La Liga side said: "Sevilla FC and Liverpool FC have reached a tentative agreement for the loan, with an option to purchase, of Iago Aspas, who will wear the shirt of Sevilla FC for the 2014-15 season.

"At the end of the campaign Sevilla FC may exercise a clause to purchase the Galician forward for three seasons with an option for a fourth."

Aspas made only 14 appearances in the Premier League last season, and scored his only Liverpool goal during the FA Cup.
