Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman and president Joan Laporta will reportedly discuss the club's summer transfer targets during the international break next week.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta and manager Ronald Koeman are reportedly preparing to sit down and discuss plans for the summer transfer window next week.

The Blaugrana's financial concerns during the coronavirus pandemic have been well-documented, but they will undoubtedly be looking at ways to improve their squad for the 2021-22 campaign.

The future of Lionel Messi will continue to be a major talking point, but the club are already set to sign Eric Garcia from Manchester City, while Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum is understood to have signed a pre-contractual agreement with the Blaugrana.

However, a new attacker will certainly be prioritised if Messi does exit the club, and according to Marca, re-elected president Laporta and first-team manager Koeman will begin planning for the summer during the international break.

The Catalan giants continue to be linked with a move for Lyon's Memphis Depay, but the report adds that Laporta is desperate to bring Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland to the club, although several sales will have to be made first.

Koeman's side could rise to second in the La Liga table if they overcome Real Sociedad in Sunday evening's showdown.
