Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that it is "a waste of time" to comment on the continuing speculation regarding Philippe Coutinho's possible move to Barcelona.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that he is not interested in any speculation concerning the future of Philippe Coutinho.

Reports continue to link Coutinho with a January move to Barcelona, with it being suggested that the Brazilian international has already played his last game for the Merseyside giants.

However, Klopp has refused to comment on the situation, with Coutinho being ruled out of the FA Cup tie with Everton on Friday night through injury.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "You write stories anyway, I have nothing to say about Coutinho. It's a transfer window, that's all.

"I opened the door half-way, but there's nothing to say. It would not help me or the player, or the club.

"It's not my cup of tea. It's harsh, but I'm not interested. Really nothing to say. It's 80% of the cameras for these answers, it's a waste of time."

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has also opted against speaking about the Spanish side's interest in the midfielder.
