Preview: Brescia vs. Juventus - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Serie A clash between Brescia and Juventus, including team news, predictions and possible lineups.

Juventus will be looking to make it four wins from five when they travel to take on Brescia on Tuesday evening.

Maurizio Sarri's men got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-1 victory against Hellas Verona, while Brescia picked up their second win of the season courtesy of a 1-0 triumph away to Udinese.

The last meeting between the two clubs came in March 2011, when Juventus won 2-1, with Brescia being relegated to Italy's second tier at the conclusion of that campaign.

Under Eugenio Corini's management they won Serie B for the fourth time last season and they have started this season strongly, beating Cagliari and Udinese away from home and only being narrowly edged out by AC Milan and Bologna in their other games.

Their 4-3-1-2 formation does limit their width but keeps them relatively defensively compact, which should be to their advantage at the Stadio Mario Rigamonti on Tuesday evening.

Key to Brescia's hopes of victory will be 28-year-old striker Alfredo Donnarumma, who has four in four for the club this season, and experienced midfielder Daniele Dessena, who returns from suspension to anchor the midfield.

Juventus had a difficult time of it early on against Verona, but they came back well to win with goals from summer signing Aaron Ramsey and talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.

As was expected, Sarri rang the changes for that game and he is likely to do something similar as his side continue with their busy schedule.

The Old Lady have won seven of their last eight games against the Biancazzurri and they will be hoping for something similar to keep pace with Inter Milan at the top of the embryonic Serie A table.

All bar three of these sides' previous games have seen at least two goals scored and Juventus will want to continue that record, but they will need to be more clinical than they were on Saturday, when just three of their 21 shots ended up on target.

Team News

Brescia have a number of players out but they will be boosted by the return of the experienced Dessena, who has served his one-game ban following his red card against Milan.

The other big news for Corini's side is that summer signing Mario Balotelli is in line to make his club debut after completing a ban picked up while playing for Marseille last season.

Sarri made changes to his team for the game with Verona and he is likely to do the same against Brescia to keep the squad fresh and hopefully prevent anyone else joining Marko Pjaca, Mattia Perin, Mattia De Sciglio, Douglas Costa and Giorgio Chiellini on the sidelines.

Although Welsh midfielder Ramsey got his first Juve goal on Saturday, he could well be rested with fellow summer acquisition Adrien Rabiot preferred alongside Blaise Matuidi and possibly Bosnian schemer Miralem Pjanic.

Wojciech Szczesny may return in goal, while Gonzalo Higuain and Matthijs de Ligt could also be reinstated to the starting lineup.

Brescia possible starting lineup:
Joronen; Sabelli, Cistana, Chancellor, Mateju; Bisoli, Tonali, Dessena; Romulo; Balotelli, Donnarumma

Juventus possible starting lineup:
Szczesny; Danilo, Demiral, de Ligt, Sandro; Rabiot, Pjanic, Matuidi; Bernardeschi, Higuain, Ronaldo

We say: Brescia 0-2 Juventus

Under Colini's management Brescia are very difficult to break down, but Juventus should have enough quality, especially from the bench, to force openings and pick up a fourth win of the season.
