How Juventus could line up against Inter Milan

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up for Sunday's top-of-the-table Serie A showdown against leaders Inter Milan at the San Siro.

A huge top-of-the-table tussle takes place in Serie A on Sunday when league leaders Inter Milan welcome Juventus to San Siro.

Juve have won an unprecedented eight Scudettos in a row and have taken 16 points from the 18 available at the start of this season, but they still have to play second fiddle to Sunday's hosts.

Inter Milan have won six from six domestically so far and look well placed to seriously challenge Juve's dominance under Antonio Conte, who led the Old Lady to the first three titles in their incredible run.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up for the contest.

Possible JUV XI vs. INT

Out: Mattia De Sciglio (thigh), Danilo (thigh), Giorgio Chiellini (knee), Mattia Perin (shoulder)
Doubtful: Douglas Costa (muscle)

The bulk of Juventus' injury concerns come in defence, with Giorgio Chiellini a long-term absentee and Mattia De Sciglio and Danilo both still sidelined for this match.

The injuries to the latter two mean that Juan Cuadrado has been forced to fill in as an emergency right-back in recent games, a role the former Chelsea winger could once again fulfil this weekend.

Maurizio Sarri is still able to call upon a solid defensive duo of Matthijs de Ligt and Leonardo Bonucci, though, and they could be coming up against a weakened Inter attack with Alexis Sanchez suspended and Romelu Lukaku an injury doubt.

Injuries at the back have also resulted in a change from Sarri's usual 4-3-3 formation further forward, with the Italian having gone for more of a 4-4-2 diamond in recent matches.

The trio of Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi appears to be his go-to midfield, but the number 10 spot behind the strikers seems to be up for grabs.

It is a role Aaron Ramsey and Paulo Dybala are in contention for, but Federico Bernardeschi's goal in the midweek win over Bayer Leverkusen could be enough for him to get the nod.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain also scored in that match and so should retain their places, meaning that it could well be an unchanged side for the visitors.
