Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including Chicago Fire vs. New York Red Bulls

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including Chicago Fire vs. New York Red Bulls.

Houston vs. Austin (Saturday, 6.30pm)

The second Copa Tejas encounter of the 2022 Major League Soccer campaign takes place on Saturday as the Houston Dynamo host Austin FC at PNC Stadium.

Orange Crush dropped a 2-1 decision to Dallas a week ago in the first game of that interstate cup competition between the three Texas teams, while Austin extended their unbeaten run to five in a row, defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0.

We say: Houston Dynamo 1-3 Austin FC

Houston have looked a lot more organised in the early stages of the season, but they are missing numerous opportunities to put their matches out of reach.

Toronto vs. Cincinnati (Saturday, 8.00pm)

After a crazy finish on the road at New York City FC a week ago, Toronto return home to BMO Field on Saturday for a date with FC Cincinnati.

Down 5-2 with less than five minutes to play, TFC scored a pair of goals but ultimately lost 5-4 to the reigning champions of Major League Soccer, while Cincy are now winless in four consecutive games after a 2-1 defeat at home to Los Angeles FC.

We say: Toronto 2-1 FC Cincinnati

These teams have played in some crazy back and forth games this month, and while we do not expect as much unpredictability in this encounter, we believe that Toronto will come out on top.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Salt Lake vs. LA Galaxy (Saturday, 8.30pm)

The Los Angeles Galaxy have a chance to best their longest unbeaten run from a season ago in Major League Soccer when they head to Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday for a date with Real Salt Lake.

Heading into the final match of April, Claret and Cobalt are winless in six consecutive games in all competitions, while LA have not lost this month after defeating Nashville SC 1-0 last Saturday.

We say: Real Salt Lake 0-2 Los Angeles Galaxy

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Montreal vs. Atlanta (Saturday, 9.00pm)

CF Montreal can match their longest unbeaten run from a year ago when their Major League Soccer campaign resumes on Saturday versus Atlanta United at Saputo Stadium.

Montreal have earned points in five consecutive league contests, beginning with a 3-3 draw versus the Five Stripes, who have only captured one domestic encounter since that result, dropping a 2-1 decision to Inter Miami last weekend.

We say: CF Montreal 2-0 Atlanta United

Historically, Atlanta have never gone goalless in any MLS encounter against their Saturday adversaries, but without Martinez, they are not the same team, and we do not expect them to create a ton of opportunities against a side who have played a much stingier defensive game in recent weeks.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

New England vs. Inter Miami (Sunday, 12.30am)

In search of a fifth straight victory across all competitions, Inter Miami visit the Gillette Stadium on Sunday to lock horns with New England Revolution.

Meanwhile, the home side will be looking to arrest a slump in form which has seen them lose six of their last seven outings.

We say: New England Revolution 1-2 Inter Miami

Judging by recent results, Inter Miami are huge favourites to get the job done, and we are tipping them to live up to expectations by claiming all three points at the end of the 90 minutes.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Columbus Crew vs. DC United (Sunday, 12.30am)

DC United midfielder Russell Canouse (6) celebrates scoring a goal with his teammates during the first half against Toronto FC at BMO Field on March 19, 2022© Reuters

Two of the teams in the bottom half of the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference will meet on Sunday when Columbus Crew welcome DC United to Lower.com Field.

The hosts are without a victory in their previous six outings in all competitions, while the visitors have won two on the bounce heading into this weekend.

We say: Columbus Crew 1-1 DC United

There is only goal difference to separate these two teams in the league, and it is likely that there will not be much between them when it comes to Sunday's match.

Each club is enjoying mixed form right now, and therefore could benefit from a victory, but because of that it could lead to a cagey encounter that might produce a draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Orlando City vs. Charlotte FC (Sunday, 12.30am)

Orlando City forward Ercan Kara (9) celebrates with Orlando City forward Alexandre Pato (7) after an assists goal in the second half against the Chicago Fire at Orlando City Stadium on April 9, 2022© Reuters

Orlando City will have the chance to get back to winning ways at the first time of asking this Sunday when they welcome Charlotte FC to the Exploria Stadium.

The visitors are without a win in their previous two Major League Soccer performances, and they head into this match having failed to win three of their most recent away games in the division.

We say: Orlando City 2-0 Charlotte FC

Orlando City shall be pushing to get straight back to winning ways in this match, and they have proven their ability to respond to defeats already this season.

Considering the fact that Charlotte are yet to win an away game in the MLS this season, this should be one for the Lions to take three points.

Chicago Fire vs. NY Red Bulls (Sunday, 1.00am)

New York Red Bulls have the possibility of moving to the top of the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference this weekend when they travel to face Chicago Fire.

The hosts find themselves in the bottom half of the table, and they come into Sunday's encounter on the back of five games without a win.

We say: Chicago Fire 0-3 New York Red Bulls

Chicago Fire might not be one of the strongest teams in the MLS at the moment, but they will need to put a big effort in to try and get anything out of this game.

However, New York Red Bulls are putting together impressive performances as of late, and their attacking qualities should help them to secure the win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Kansas vs. Dallas (Sunday, 1.30am)

FC Dallas forward Paul Arriola (7) and forward Alan Velasco (20) and forward Jesus Ferreira (10) celebrates Ferreira scoring his first of three goals during the first half against the Portland Timbers at Toyota Stadium on March 19, 2022© Reuters

Two teams at opposite ends of the Major League Soccer Western Conference table are set to face each other on Sunday as Dallas travel to Children's Mercy Park for an encounter against Sporting Kansas City.

The hosts head into the match after a trio of fixtures without a win, while the visiting team are on a seven-game run without a loss.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 0-3 Dallas

Sporting Kansas City might have the home advantage when it comes to this match on Sunday, but they could struggle against in-form opponents.

Dallas have been one of the strongest teams in the MLS so far, and that should continue this weekend, even though they have struggled away from home this season.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Colorado vs. Portland (Sunday, 2.00am)

Colorado Rapids will be looking to end a five-game winless run when they play host to Portland Timbers on Saturday.

The home side, who occupy 10th place in the Western Conference, can leapfrog the visitors with a win, while the Timbers can extend their current unbeaten run to four matches.

We say: Colorado Rapids 1-1 Portland Timbers

Colorado have drawn three of their last five matches, while Portland have accumulated more MLS draws than any other side this season, and we think that pattern will continue on Friday with the two teams cancelling each other out.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
