Steven Pressley expects difficult test against "consistent" Walsall

Steven Pressley believes that Walsall will remain "consistent" under the temporary watch of John Ward, having recently lost Dean Smith to Brentford.

Fleetwood Town boss Steven Pressley has claimed that he is expecting more of the same from Walsall this weekend.

The Saddlers, currently flying high in third place, lost manager Dean Smith to Brentford a fortnight ago.

Walsall have managed to stay on the winning trail by winning each of their last two games, however, and Pressley is expecting a tricky test when John Ward brings his side to Highbury on Saturday.

"I don't think there will be anything different," The Blackpool Gazette quotes him as saying. "They'll be consistent with what they've done before. I think if John does get the job, he might want to make changes.

"But while he's interim boss, it will be a case of more of the same. I think in that respect we can expect the same Walsall we've seen in the early part of the season."

Mark Cooper and Lee Clark have both been linked with the Walsall job, while Darren Moore is also thought to be on the managerial shortlist.
