Everton are allegedly one of four clubs to have submitted an offer for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

Everton have reportedly submitted an offer for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

The 22-year-old, who is thought to be valued by his French club in the region of £30m, has scored once in 34 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

According to Sky Sports News, Everton are one of four clubs to have launched a bid for the former Brazil Under-20 international ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The report does not name the three other teams in question but has revealed that one is another English club while the final two are both from Serie A.

Despite the fact that the transfer window is currently closed, it is alleged that a deal for the left-footed centre-back could be tied up 'in the next 10 days'.

Magalhaes, who has previously been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, played in all six of Lyon's Champions League group-stage fixtures earlier this season.
