Half-Time Report: Derby County in control at the break

Goals from Jordon Ibe and Chris Martin give Derby County a 2-0 lead at half time against Birmingham City.

Derby County have taken a 2-0 lead at half time against Birmingham City at St Andrew's this afternoon.

Jordon Ibe, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Birmingham, gave the visitors the lead when he escaped two
challenges before rifling the ball high into the net on nine minute.

David Cotterill fired in a long-range effort for the home side before the half-hour mark, but the strike was comfortably held by Rams keeper Lee Grant.

Chris Martin doubled the Rams' advantage on 23 minutes when he fired in a free kick from the edge of the box.
