Half-Time Report: Derby County in control against Nottingham Forest

Craig Bryson scores twice as Derby County lead Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the interval of their Championship encounter.

Derby County lead Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the interval of their Championship encounter at Pride Park.

It took just six minutes for the hosts to open the scoring, with Craig Bryson finishing from close range at the second time of asking after his initial effort had been blocked.

Patrick Bamford had another half-chance for Derby after 14 minutes, but the youngster was denied by Danny Fox having seemingly found some space inside the Forest penalty area.

The visitors improved as the half progressed, with Radoslaw Majewski coming close from distance.

However, Derby had their second after 32 minutes when Bryson combined with Chris Martin before finding the bottom corner.

It got worse for Forest in the latter stages of the first period when Bamford teed up Jeff Hendrick, who made no mistake from inside the box to send Derby 3-0 ahead.
