Cheltenham Town accept bid for forward Mohamed Eisa

Cheltenham Town announce that they have accepted a bid for forward Mohamed Eisa, who has been strongly linked with Sunderland.

Cheltenham Town have announced that an unnamed club have met their valuation of Mohamed Eisa.

The 24-year-old burst onto the EFL scene last summer with 23 goals being netted from 45 starts in League Two.

That has resulted in interest in the player's signature this summer, and Sunderland have been heavily linked with an approach for the frontman.

Reports have previously claimed that Cheltenham were prepared to accept an offer in the region of £1.5m, and it appears that the club's demands have been met.

A statement read: "Cheltenham Town FC have today (Saturday) accepted an offer for the transfer of Mo Eisa to another club for an undisclosed fee. Mo has therefore been given permission to discuss personal terms."

Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has previously indicated that he is looking to add as many as three new strikers to Jack Ross's first-team squad over the next two weeks.
