Experienced attacker Pedro hopes that Chelsea will decide to offer him a new deal before the end of June, according to a report.

Pedro is reportedly hopeful that Chelsea will decide to offer him a new deal in the coming weeks.

The 32-year-old's existing contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of June, and a number of clubs, including Roma and Real Betis, are thought to be interested in his services.

Pedro recently admitted that he had not yet spoken to the Blues about the possibility of extending his stay, while an agreement is thought to be unlikely at this stage as Frank Lampard's side plan for the future.

However, according to ESPN, the Spaniard is hoping 'for a late change of heart' from the Premier League outfit as he wants to extend his stay in the English capital.

Pedro allegedly wants a two-year contract, but Chelsea have a rule of only offering one-year extensions to players over the age of 30, which is a policy that is expected to see them lose Willian on a free transfer.

The former Barcelona winger has only scored twice in 18 appearances at club level this season.
