Barcelona reportedly want to sign Palmeiras forward Endrick but are unable to afford the Brazilian due to their ongoing financial problems.

Barcelona want to sign Palmeiras forward Endrick but cannot make any moves this summer due to their ongoing financial problems, according to a report.

The Brazilian forward has attracted a lot of interest from Europe, but he cannot leave Brazil until 2024 due to current legislation in Brazil, as it states players have to be 18 in order to do so.

Despite that, Barcelona manager Xavi confirmed that the club are in talks with the player, who was invited to see Camp Nou and the club's facilities in an attempt to get him to favour a move to the Spanish giants.

According to Spanish publication Marca, the starting price for the forward would be €60m (£51m) and Barca cannot make any moves due to the economic problems they have with the wage bill.

The club's financial issues are well documented but it did not stop them signing Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Jules Kounde and Hector Bellerin this summer, but the club will not be able to make any official moves this summer for Endrick.

Furthermore, the report reveals that Endrick had also visited Paris, London and Madrid with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Real Madrid all reportedly interested in signing one of the world's brightest young talents.

Endrick had signed his first professional deal with the Brazilian club in the summer and signed on until 2025, but he is now attracting increasing interest from Europe's elite.

The 16-year-old was promoted to the senior first team earlier this year, netting three goals and providing one assist in just seven appearances as Palmeiras won the Brasileiro Serie A title.
