Real Madrid and Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois hails his teammate Eden Hazard after he made his debut in the second half of Los Blancos' 3-2 win over Levante.

Thibaut Courtois has hailed the impact Eden Hazard made after coming on for his Real Madrid debut in their 3-2 win over Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The summer signing from Chelsea made his first competitive Los Blancos appearance with an hour played and his side 3-1 up, replacing defensive midfielder Casemiro.

Courtois believes that the team played much better with his compatriot on the field, lauding the quality he brings to the front line.

"I got a bit annoyed with him because he lost the possession with a couple of back-heel flicks," Courtois said to Movistar. "But up front he really makes the difference. We played the best 45 minutes of football we have played this year."

Fellow winger Lucas Vazquez agreed, adding: "He is already showing what a player he is. The quality he will give us will be fundamental. We are going to enjoy him a lot."

Zinedine Zidane also praised his star signing's qualities, but urged patience with both the Belgium forward and the team as a whole following draws against Real Valladolid and Villarreal.

"I am not worried. We will get better. I know we will score more goals and let in fewer," Zidane said. "The sensation from the first [half] was phenomenal. We scored goals we played good football and we really got at them. We have to try to maintain that for 90 minutes.

"We had the chances to score more goals in the second half. Perhaps physically we started to notice the tiredness from the international break."

Next up for Real Madrid is a trip to France to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
