Diego Costa: 'Chelsea must challenge on all fronts next season'

Chelsea striker Diego Costa insists that the Premier League champions must be able to challenge on both the domestic and European fronts next season.

Chelsea frontman Diego Costa has insisted that the club must be able to challenge for both the Premier League and Champions League crowns next season.

Jose Mourinho's side claimed an impressive league win last campaign, but faltered in Europe as they were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain at the second-round stage.

"Our objectives haven't changed. Chelsea are Premier League champions and this season we must try to repeat our success and fight to get to the final of the Champions League - that is a minimum for our supporters and ourselves," said Costa, according to The Mirror.

"The only demand I am putting on myself for the new season is to have less problems with injury. The experience was not good during the past campaign.

"And while I never think about a target number of goals my challenge to myself is just to score, score, score. That will guarantee success and victory for Chelsea and that really is my objective."

Costa made 26 league appearances for Chelsea last season, scoring 20 goals for the club.
