Russell Slade wants "two more players" at Cardiff City

Russell Slade refuses to confirm whether Cardiff City are preparing a move for defender Gabriel Tamas, after the former Watford man spent a day training with the club.

Russell Slade has targeted two more additions to his Cardiff City squad ahead of next month's transfer deadline.

The Bluebirds have so far brought in just one senior player this summer, with Sammy Ameobi joining on loan from Newcastle United.

Former Watford defender Gabriel Tamas could be next, having spent a short amount of time training with the Welsh outfit, but Slade remained coy when asked if a deal could go through for the free agent.

"Gabriel had a day with us and that is the start and finish of it," he is quoted as saying by Wales Online. "He's not in today he just had a day with us yesterday. We'll see, we've got a couple of options so we shall see.

"I would like two more players in. I'm confident we can obtain that and optimistic we can get the right ones. I have ideas of positions I need, but things could go to the wire in the end."

Cardiff, who have drawn each of their opening three Championship fixtures, take on Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.
