Craig Noone: 'Cardiff City can benefit from FA Cup run'

Craig Noone believes that an extended run in the FA Cup can help Cardiff City improve their form in the Premier League.

Craig Noone has insisted that an extended run in the FA Cup can help Cardiff City in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side face defending champions Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday, and Noone believes that success in the competition can improve their league form.

"We've won two cup ties so far and as far as I'm concerned that has simply given us confidence that has reflected in our league performances," Noone told reporters.

"If we can play well and win another tie we can take that into our next league match against Hull, and that will do us a lot of good.

"We need to concentrate on this game, prepare well for it, and try to keep the momentum in the cup rolling."

Cardiff are currently 19th in the Premier League.
