Half-Time Report: Danny Ings gives Burnley lead

Burnley lead Wolverhampton Wanderers at the break in their Championship clash at Molineux thanks to a strike from Danny Ings.

A strike from Danny Ings has given Burnley the lead at the break in their Championship clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

After riding out some early pressure from the home side, Burnley took the lead when Ings was allowed time and space in the Wolves area and his low shot found the bottom corner.

The visitors almost doubled their lead but former Wolves striker Sam Vokes saw his effort well saved by Dorus de Vries while Ings was denied on the rebound by a good defensive block.

The home side should have been level when Burnley keeper Lee Grant dropped a cross at the feet of Bjorn Sigurdarson but his effort was blocked on the line.
