Australian international Mat Ryan is away at the Asian Cup.

Brighton have recalled under-23 goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from his loan spell at Forest Green to help provide additional cover.

With Australian international Mat Ryan away at the Asian Cup, Sanchez returns to support Hugo Keto alongside David Button and Jason Steele.

Spaniard Sanchez, 21, made 17 appearances for Mark Cooper's side, who have climbed to fifth place in Sky Bet League Two.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton hopes the spell can only have helped Sanchez's progress.

"Robert has enjoyed a beneficial period on loan at Forest Green, where he has been able to pick up valuable experience at senior level," Hughton said on the club website.

"However, with Maty away on international duty, it's necessary for us to recall Robert from his loan spell, as we look to provide support for both David and Jason over the coming weeks."
