Sone Aluko strikes just before half-time to level the scores for Hull City against Blackpool in the Championship.

An early Matt Phillips goal is cancelled out by a Sone Aluko strike as Blackpool and Hull City head into the break level at the KC Stadium.

The visitors were a threat from the first whistle and opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Phillips collected a pass from Nathan Delfouneso before firing past Ben Amos.

Delfouneso was unlucky to not double Blackpool's lead when he made space inside the box but Amos reacted well to keep out the striker's effort.

Aluko was left frustrated by the referee after having an appeal for a penalty rejected following some contact inside the area.

However, Aluko's fortunes changed before the break as he struck a powerful effort from 25 yards that Matt Gilks failed to keep out.
