Half-Time Report: Birmingham City frustrated by Charlton Athletic

Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic enter the half-time break of their Championship game with the score locked at 0-0.

Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic have cancelled each other out in the first half of their Championship game at St Andrew's which remains 0-0.

The hosts began brightly and within two minutes Jacques Maghoma had tested Ian Henderson after swivelling cleverly inside the area.

Jon Toral then flashed an effort over the bar, while Charlton debutant Ademola Lookman hit a shot into the side-netting at the other end.

A foray forward from the visiting right-back Tareiq Holmes-Dennis had to be dealt with by Tomasz Kuszczak, who parried the defender's effort wide at the near post.

Birmingham then cranked up the pressure as Demarai Gray's deflected effort flew over Charlton's goal, before Henderson pushed away strikes from Toral and Nicolai Brock-Madsen.
