Bayern Munich clinch Bundesliga title in Berlin

Bayern Munich wrap up the Bundesliga title with seven games to spare following a 3-1 win in the capital against Hertha Berlin.

Pep Guardiola has guided his side to the Bundesliga title with seven games still to play following a 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin on Tuesday night.

It was a predictably strong start from the hosts as they dominated possession, and they were deservedly ahead inside six minutes. Thomas Muller worked his way into the box and found Kroos in acres at the far post to tap in for a swift lead.

Almost without Hertha touching the ball again Bayern doubled their lead just before the 15-minute mark. This time Bastian Schweinsteiger was the creator with a cross from the near byline that Gotze headed in for 2-0.

Gotze had another effort with his head 30 minutes in. Arjen Robben was found by Kroos but the Dutchman's cross was just too high for Gotze, who nodded his effort off target.

It was inches away to being three just five minutes before the break as Muller headed a Gotze ball goalwards, but his effort came back off the bar to ensure that it remained 2-0.

Mario Mandzukic had an effort saved before David Alaba fired over, but it was Hertha who had a golden chance to get back in the game. Adrian Ramos was bundled over by Rafinha, before stepping up to score from the spot.

The key fourth goal came inside the final 10 minutes, and it was Bayern who wrapped up the Bundesliga title in record time with a team goal, with Gotze and Franck Ribery combining for the latter to clip over Thomas Kraft for the victory.
