Half-Time Report: Arturo Vidal leads Bayern Munich to half-time advantage

Arturo Vidal fires Bayern Munich into a 1-0 lead over SV Darmstadt 98 in the battle of two unbeaten Bundesliga sides.

Arturo Vidal has given Bayern Munich a 1-0 lead over SV Darmstadt 98 as the Bundesliga champions look to extend their 100% record.

The visitors dominated possession early on but they missed a good opportunity when Kingsley Coman, who was handed a full debut, played through Vidal before watching the Chilean fire wide.

Vidal punished the hosts for being gifted a second chance as he capitalised on the space available on the edge of the box to send in a strike off the post.

Darmstadt threatened to hit back immediately against the run of play, but Manuel Neuer produced a fine save to keep out Dominik Stroh-Engel.

Despite being forced to chase the ball for much of the first half, Darmstadt refused to sit back when they did win possession and the hosts sent out another warning to the champions when Marcel Heller struck the side-netting.
