Gerard Pique wants to finish career with Barcelona

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique insists that it is his intention to finish his career at Camp Nou, describing the club as his family, home and life.

Gerard Pique has revealed that he intends to stay with Barcelona for the rest of his career.

The 26-year-old defender has described Barcelona as his family and home, insisting that he is not contemplating a move away.

Since returning to the Catalan giants from Manchester United in 2008, Pique has formed a formidable partnership with club captain Carles Puyol, although since the Spaniard's injury, his performances have been below par.

However, despite the criticism and speculation, Pique insists that he is happy at Camp Nou.

"Barca are my family, my life," the Spain international said. "In life you never know, you cannot say you're not going to do. It's true that [my future] depends on many factors, but come on, the club are my life.

"I was born in Barcelona, I live there, they're my family, my home and it's certainly where I want to stay.

"For most of my career, I've been here with the exception of a spell at Manchester United, but this is where I want to be for many more years and this is where I want to finish my career."

Pique made 44 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals.
