Barcelona confirm that former Everton star Gerard Deulofeu has joined Watford on loan for the rest of the season.

Gerard Deulofeu has returned to the Premier League by agreeing a loan move to Watford from Barcelona.

The Spaniard began his career at the Catalan club, but struggled to fight his way through the superstar lineup and ended up joining Everton as a result.

The forward spent two years at Goodison Park before returning to Camp Nou last summer after Barcelona activated their buyback clause.

This season, Deulofeu has started seven games in all competitions and featured in 13 altogether, scoring one goal and creating a single assist.

Barcelona confirmed on their official website that Watford have agreed to pay the attacker's salary as well as a potential add-on fee of €1m (£880,000).

Watford currently reside 10th in the league table, four points above the relegation zone.
