Ousmane Dembele is Barcelona's only absentee for Sunday night's La Liga contest with Sevilla at Camp Nou.

Barcelona will be missing just one player through injury against Sevilla on Sunday night, with Ousmane Dembele remaining on the sidelines due to a thigh problem.

The France international has been in impressive form for the Catalan giants during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 25-year-old picked up a thigh injury during the 1-0 win over Girona on January 28, and he was missing against Real Betis last time out.

Barcelona have not put a timeframe on the attacker's recovery, although there have been suggestions that he could be absent until the end of the month.

"Dembele is the best one-on-one player in the squad. Without him, we lose that quality that generates a lot of chances, but Raphinha, Ferran [Torres], Ansu [Fati] can also do it. We lose in one-on-one but we gain in other things," Barcelona boss Xavi told reporters during Saturday's pre-match press conference.

Alejandro Balde had emerged as a major doubt for the contest after missing training on Saturday due to a fever, but the left-back is named in the squad.

"I've been told by the doctors that he will be fine and available, we'll decide tomorrow," added Xavi.

There is also a spot for 18-year-old striker Angel Alarcon, who recently made his first-team debut for the Catalan giants against Ceuta in the Copa del Rey on January 19.

Alarcon has been on the bench for the team's last three league games against Getafe, Girona and Real Betis, having benefited from Memphis Depay's departure and Dembele's injury.

Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres were both back from league suspensions for the 2-1 win over Real Betis, and as expected, the pair are again in the squad for this match.

Barcelona have won each of their last nine matches in all competitions, including their last four in La Liga, which has left them five points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the table.

Xavi's side will now face Sevilla and Villarreal in back-to-back league matches before hosting Manchester United for the first leg of their Europa League knockout round playoff on February 16.
