Half-Time Report: Atletico Madrid being held at interval

Granada holding Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw at the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico Madrid are being held to a goalless draw by Granada at the Vicente Calderon.

The first chance of the contest fell to Arda Turan, who came close to finding the back of the net following David Villa's clever flick, but the effort could only find the side-netting.

Granada began growing in confidence as the half passed by, and Youssef El-Arabi almost gave the Nazaries a shock lead after 32 minutes, getting on the end of a Fran Rico set piece but failing to convert the chance.

Atletico thought they had made the breakthrough shortly after courtesy of Tiago, though the effort was ruled out after the referee adjudged him to have pulled back an opposition player.
