Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has praised his side's defence following the Gunners' 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.

The result, which kept the Gunners unbeaten in September, was secured after club-record signing Lacazette scored a brace at the Emirates to become the first ever Arsenal player to score in his opening three Premier League home games.

"It is no big deal. It is not the kind of record I am looking for. I am not especially looking for records. I am looking for stability with the team and [Monday night] was better and better," Lacazette told reporters.

"We are unbeaten in September. We have reorganised ourselves defensively and everyone is working together and that is how you can see the difference.

"Everything is not perfect, but against West Brom we had possession, we did not concede. We scored. Even if I think we can do better, it is good already. We knew that hard work would pay off and that is what we are doing. Let's not get over-excited and carry on."

Arsene Wenger's side now make a lengthy trip to Belarus in the Europa League to face BATE Borisov on Thursday before hosting Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
