Fernando Gago: 'Argentina will attack more'

Midfielder Fernando Gago claims that Argentina will be even more attacking now that they are through to the knockout stage of the World Cup.

Argentina midfielder Fernando Gago has claimed that his team will show a more attacking side now that they are through to the knockout stage of the World Cup.

The South Americans, who finished at the top of Group F, return to action tonight when they face Switzerland in the last 16.

Having not always convinced during the group phase, Gago expects the Argentines to play more offensively against the Swiss.

"If you want to grow during a tournament, the key thing is to learn from your mistakes, and that's what we've done," he is quoted as saying by FIFA.com.

"We've been improving bit by bit, and now we're in a situation where one point is no longer enough for our opponents. That should open up more space for us, and we'll be able to play to our strengths."

Argentina reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup before losing to Germany.
