Manuel Pellegrini delighted with Malaga display

Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that his team produced a "complete" performance against Anderlecht on Wednesday evening.

Manuel Pellegerini has praised his Malaga team for producing a "complete" performance to beat Anderlecht in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Eliseu scored twice as the Spanish club left Belgium with an impressive 3-0 victory and Pellegrini was impressed with his side's attitude.

The 59-year-old told Canal+: "We have made a very complete game on both the offensive and defensive against a team that tied with AC Milan and on this pitch it is very difficult.

"We got good movement from the team but that's less important than the attitude to go out and seek victory in each game, no matter who plays.

"Before starting the Champions League I knew we had to go out and win games. The squad responded very well and we had clear chances to score more goals today."

Malaga are top of their group after two wins without conceding a goal.
