Scottish Premiership roundup: Celtic maintain lead

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Celtic have maintained their seven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a narrow 1-0 home win against Hibernian.

Teemu Pukki's 29th-minute effort proved to be the difference between the two sides at Celtic Park, although Liam Craig did hit the post for Hibs.

The victory means that Neil Lennon's team are still unbeaten in the league after 15 rounds of matches with 39 points.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United remain second and third with comprehensive victories over Hearts and Kilmarnock respectively.

While Billy McKay scored both goals for Inverness in their 2-0 win at Tynecastle, United eased past Kilmarnock, who had Gabriel Reuben sent off in the 22nd minute and went down 4-1 at home.

John Hughes's Inverness are seven points off the pace, while United are three points further back.

Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, Aberdeen got the better of St Mirren 2-0 at home, Motherwell staved off a late fightback from Ross County to win 2-1 at Victoria Park in Dingwall and the match between Partick Thistle and St Johnstone at Firhill Stadium in Glasgow was abandoned at half time due to bad weather.

Results in full: Aberdeen 2-0 St Mirren, Celtic 1-0 Hibernian, Hearts 0-2 Inverness CT, Kilmarnock 1-4 Dundee United, Partick Thistle P-P St Johnstone, Ross County 1-2 Motherwell
