Andy Murray: Ivo Karlovic battle was "mentally tiring"

Andy Murray reveals that he was forced to dig deep to secure his place in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in his victory in four sets over Ivo Karlovic.

Andy Murray has confessed that his duel against Ivo Karlovic was "mentally tiring" as he booked his place in the last eight at Wimbledon.

The British number one was forced to work extremely hard to overcome the 6'11" Croat as he clinched a quarter-final berth with a victory in four sets on Centre Court.

"I came up with some good lobs and passing shots. I just needed to keep him low," Murray told BBC Sport.

"It was an incredibly difficult match, it was mentally tiring because you just have to be ready when the chances come."

Murray will face Vasek Pospisil in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
