Milos Raonic through in straight sets against Jack Sock

Milos Raonic beats American qualifier Jack Sock to reach round three of the Sony Open in Miami.

Milos Raonic progressed to the third round of the Sony Open in Key Biscayne after the Canadian saw off the challenge of Jack Sock in straight sets.

The 23-year-old, who lost to Alexandr Dolgopolov in the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Masters last week, served up seven aces in a strong opening set, as Sock struggled to live with Raonic's shots before losing the set 6-4.

The American qualifier made a contest of the second set as both players held serve to set up a tie-break.

However, Sock was unable to compete in the tie-breaker as Raonic won it 7-1 to reach the third round and set up a clash with Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
