Richard Cockerill admits that Leicester Tigers' win over Gloucester helped to relieve some pressure.

Leicester Tigers coach Richard Cockerill has admitted that his side's 40-14 win over Gloucester relieved some pressure.

It was Leicester's first win at Welford Road this season and the victory coincided with the return of several international players.

Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi and Dan Cole all made their first appearances for Leicester since returning from the World Cup.

"It's a nice feeling to get that win and relieve the pressure," said Cockerill.

"We could have been more accurate but a win gives you a different mindset."

Flood scored 18 points in the win over Gloucester, while Tuilagi and Cole each scored tries.

Leicester are next in action against Sale Sharks on Friday evening.
