Afternoon folks! It's very rare these days, but on matchday 29 in the Championship we have all 12 games kicking off at 3pm. Our feature games takes place in the North-West as Wigan take on Bournemouth. Let's get straight to the teams...

Malky Mackay hands debuts to three players - Chris Herd, Kim Bo-Kyung and Leon Clarke. It's a big game for the trio as they face the league leaders.

Unsurprisingly, Howe goes with his favourite starting XI. South African striker Tokelo Rantie is back among the substitutes after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Over 3/4 of you have picked the visitors to win on our match preview and that's hardly startling given their positions in the table. Bournemouth lead the way, while Wigan are yet to win in 2015 and have just two league wins to their name since August!

However, one positive for Wigan is their performance last weekend. They managed to hold one of Bournemouth's promotion rivals, Ipswich Town, to a goalless draw on the road. It's especially impressive as Ipswich have the best home record in the whole division.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, were last in action eight days ago on Friday night when they hosted fellow top-six side Watford. They ran out 2-0 winners, but were certainly helped by an unfair red card, which has since been rescinded.

Click here to see how the table looks, with everyone having played 28 games. There's 18 games of the season left and Bournemouth are only top because of their superior goal difference. Fail to win today and they'll probably lose top spot to either Derby County or Middlesbrough.

Wigan are second-bottom and seven points from safety following the draw at Ipswich last week. What's worse is that Blackpool picked up a rare victory last week and are now just two points behind Wigan. What a bad season it's been for the Latics.

PREDICTION TIME! Just 10 minutes until kickoff at the DW Stadium, so it's time for my pre-game pick. It really is hard to look past Bournemouth and I expect them to have too much today. Wigan won't make it easy, but I'm going for a 2-0 away win.

Since last week's game we've had transfer deadline day and Wigan were much busier than Bournemouth. Only one of their three deadline-day captures starts today - Clarke - but Sheyi Ojo and Gaetan Bong are on the bench.

H2H: Wigan are unbeaten at nine at home to Bournemouth, but lost the reverse 2-0 on the South coast.

The two sides are out on the pitch and kickoff is moments away. I'll be bringing you updates from games that affect these two sides at the top and bottom.

KICKOFF! Visitors Bournemouth get us underway.

SHOT! Bright start from the home side and they come close to the opener as new captain Kvist drills a low shot from 20 yards that Boruc saves well.

Wigan will be delighted by the way they've started here. Bournemouth have more away wins than anyone else this season, but they're on the backfoot at the moment.

CLOSE! Clarke is looking bright on his debut in blue and white, sending over a cross that just evades everyone in the middle.

OFF THE BAR! Wigan have done everything but score in the opening few minutes. They come ever so close to breaking the deadlock as McClean's free kick from a narrow angle goes over everyone and clangs back off the crossbar.

Bournemouth finally enjoy some prolonged possession and win a couple of corners. They're pretty lucky not to be behind after that slow start.

SAVE! Bournemouth almost steal in front as Kermorgant looks for the corner and is denied by a flying Al-Habsi save.

UPDATE: Good news for Wigan as Millwall and Blackpool fall behind, but it's not so good for Bournemouth as Boro take the lead against Charlton. As things stand, the Cherries will be dropping to second.

Not much to report since that Al-Habsi save from Kermorgant. It's a much more even contest now after the dominant opening 10 minutes from Wigan.

Bournemouth have had almost 70% possession in the early stages and more shots (four) than Wigan (two). Both have got one on target and it's felt like an even affair.

UPDATE: Blackpool fall 2-0 down at Norwich, so it doesn't look like Wigan will be plunging to the bottom today.

CHANCE! Opening for Wigan as Clarke, who's been bright on his debut, gets in behind the Bournemouth defence and looks for the far corner with his weaker left foot, but pulls it wide of the far post.

Another Latics debutant, Kim, tracks back well to help the defence. There does seem to be more fight in this Wigan side of late. They battled ever so well at Portman Road for a point last weekend.

Wild shot from Bournemouth's star man this season, Ritchie, whose effort after being found by Wilson slaps into one of the many empty seats high up at the DW. The attendances haven't been great at the Latics' home this season.

WOW! Kim almost produces a sensational overhead kick from 15 yards. That would have been some way to mark your debut as Boruc watches the ball go just over the bar.

CHANCE! Lovely football from the visitors down the left and eventually they carve out a shooting opportunity for Ritchie as left-back Daniels cuts it back for the winger. He takes it on first-time and the ball is goalbound until it hits his own teammate Wilson on the six-yard line!

Goal number 16 of the season for Wilson as he coolly slots home at the near post after running clear of the Wigan defence. Francis's ball forward was flicked on by Kermorgant and Wilson really did look offside. They got lucky last week with the Watford red card and it seems that things are going Bournemouth's way again.

UPDATE: Plenty of goals to update you on: Derby lead 1-0, but Boro have been pegged back by Charlton. One of Bournemouth's other promotion rivals Ipswich are also behind at Rotherham.

Wigan might have been unlucky to concede the opener, but this is all their own fault as McCann dilly-dallies on the edge of his own box. Kermorgant nicks the ball away and then quickly shoots at goal from 20 yards, catching Al-Habsi off-guard and finding the net.

Well, well, well. Wigan started the game brilliantly in the first 10 minutes, but Bournemouth have controlled it since and Wigan now have a mountain to climb. It looks like Mackay won't be breaking his home duck today.

UPDATE: Derby double their lead against Bolton, so victory for Bournemouth is vital today. Boro, meanwhile, have conceded a goal against Charlton. It's 1-1 at the Riverside.

A goal each for Bournemouth's strikers, Wilson and Kermorgant, sees the Cherries two up on the Latics. This one's going to form.

Wigan started the game on top and had a shot on target inside the opening couple of minutes as Kvist tested Boruc. Unfortunately for the home side, that would be their last shot on target as Bournemouth began to take control.

The visitors' opener should never have stood as Wilson was about a yard offside, but they have since made sure of the advantage through Kermorgant's sharp finish. The Cherries don't look like they'll lose top spot today.

Not the worst set of scores from a Wigan perspective, but it's good news for Bournemouth fans with Boro drawing, Ipswich losing, Brentford drawing and Watford drawing.

Wigan need a goal quickly at the start of the second half and if they don't get it, expect the likes of Billy McKay and Martyn Waghorn to come on.

WIGAN SUB: McKay comes on a break in fact, replacing Kim in attack. Wigan need something, and fast.

KICKOFF! The home side get us back underway.

PENALTY APPEAL! Bournemouth want a penalty right at the start of the second half, but referee Mark Haywood points for a goal kick. Wilson used some step-overs to get past Barnett and the Wigan man just bundled him over with no intent to play the ball.

Bournemouth's first goal shouldn't have stood, but they should have had a penalty there so maybe you can say the karma balance is level again.

STAT: Worryingly for Wigan, Bournemouth have scored as many second-half goals (34) as anyone else in the division. That's also eight more than Wigan have got in total this season.

MISS! Wilson lobs the ball over his man in the middle and the ball sits up nicely for the youngster, but he blazes a volley high and wide.

He might have missed a great chance moments earlier, but Wilson surely seals the win for Bournemouth with another fabulous piece of skill. Like the chance he created a moment ago, he lifts the ball cleverly over a defender before heading the ball in front of Barnett and powering clear of the Wigan defender. Al-Habsi comes out to meet him, but Wilson isn't fazed and rounds the Omani before slotting home.

WIGAN SUB: Liverpool loanee Ojo makes his debut, replacing another new boy Herd.

Wigan have one back as McClean works the ball onto his left foot before curling over a deep cross that Clarke just about manages to nod home. Game on?

CLOSE! Wigan have really been buoyed by that goal and come forward again as Ojo slips in a great pass to Kvist, whose low cross is almost turned home by McClean.

SAVE! Boruc tips Ridgewell's header over the bar. It's all Wigan at the moment!

Ojo has been really bright since coming on. What's even more impressive is that he hasn't played senior football before. He's only ever appeared for Liverpool's youth sides.

BOOKING! Haywood produces a yellow card for the first time today, booking Ritchie for dissent by the looks of things.

Bournemouth have done well to slow down the game in the last couple of minutes. Wigan could have easily given up after the Cherries' third went in, but they've dug in well and were so close to cutting the gap to just one.

BOURNEMOUTH SUB: First change by the visitors as Howe takes off Kermorgant for midfielder MacDonald. That should help Bournemouth see off this one.

BOOKING! McCann is the first Wigan player in the book after chopping down Ritchie.

UPDATE: Some good news for Wigan: Blackpool, Millwall, Brighton and Leeds are all losing. Rotherham are beating Ipswich 2-0, with Ipswich the only one of the top five not winning now.

BOURNEMOUTH SUB: Second change from the visitors as Adam Smith takes Ritchie's place. No goal for the winger today.

It's really hard to see Wigan salvaging anything from this game now. Just after getting their first they were all over Bournemouth, but unable to get the second which would have put plenty of pressure on the leaders.

CLOSE! Wigan almost get a second as Pugh clears from under his own crossbar before McClean drags a shot wide.

FOUR minutes of added time left for Bournemouth to see out another away win.

It's a nasty way to see the match end with tempers flaring, but Bournemouth come through for away win number nine of the season. They hold on to top spot.

It was a good day for most of the promotion hopefuls, with Ipswich the only one of the top six not to win. Bournemouth stay ahead of Derby on goal difference at the top, while Wigan can take some solace from the fact that the current bottom five all lost. They're still seven from safety.
