Graham Hunter: 'David Moyes won't swap Real Sociedad for West Ham United'

Sky Sports pundit Graham Hunter says that David Moyes will not swap Real Sociedad for soon-to-be managerless West Ham United.

West Ham United will be unable to lure David Moyes from Real Sociedad this summer, according to Spain-based pundit Graham Hunter.

With Sam Allardyce's contract scheduled to expire at the end of the season, the club are searching for a new manager, with Moyes and Rafael Benitez among those linked.

Sociedad sat outside La Liga's relegation zone on goal difference when the Scot replaced Jagoba Arrasate in November.

However, La Real now sit 11th as they look to finish in the top half of the standings, and Hunter says that the former Everton and Manchester United boss is too invested in his project to return to England.

"If you'd asked me that question six or seven months ago, when David Moyes was beginning to find his feet, not just at the club but in the city, away from his family, the changing culture and climate, I would have said it's feasible," he told Sky Sports News.

"But he's enjoying himself, absolutely finding that the thing he's always aspired to, working with a high-profile club on the continent, can be as rewarding and interesting as he imagined it to be.

"The players are working for him, his team is playing better, he has the director of football more onside than ever and the club president is beginning to think about some of the reforms he wants implemented. So for West Ham or anybody to drag him away will be much tougher now than it would have been a few months ago."

Slaven Bilic has also been linked with a move to Upton Park, but the former Croatia coach - now at Besiktas - recently dismissed the speculation.
