Quique Flores: 'Watford must spread out goals'

Quique Flores wants to see Watford's players spread out the goals more evenly due to an over-reliance on Odion Ighalo in the opening months of the season.

Watford boss Quique Flores has called on his players to spread out the attacking responsibilities in order to address the current lack of goals in the side.

The Hornets have found the net fewer times than any other team in the Premier League this term, having made a breakthrough on just six occasions to date.

Flores admits that it is "difficult" to find players who can score on a regular basis in the top flight, which has put additional pressure on five-goal Odion Ighalo to maintain his form in front of goal.

"It's very difficult to find players who can score easily so we have to deliver the goals between players," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "At the moment just Ighalo is the only player able to score.

"For sure in the future it's coming from other players like [Troy] Deeney or [Almen] Abdi or [Etienne] Capoue or central defenders from set pieces."

Watford return to league action on Saturday when they take on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
