France and the United States remain level at 2-2 after 45 minutes of Olympic Group G football in Glasgow.

It was the USA who started the match the better, with Megan Rapinoe causing all sorts of problems with her direct running, while Tobin Heath headed over with six minutes on the clock.

However, France broke the deadlock after 12 minutes when Gaetane Thiney thumped a powerful effort past Hope Solo - and it was quickly two moments later when Marie-Laure Delie struck from close range.

The United States did get themselves back into the match after 19 minutes, however, when Abby Wambach thumped a header into the top corner.

The US were back on level terms after 32 minutes when Alex Morgan hooked the ball home from close range.

Both sides had chances in the latter stages, but they entered the break on level terms.
