Michael Laudrup praises his Swansea players despite them falling to a first defeat in eight Premier League matches at West Ham.

Michael Laudrup has revealed that he was happy with Swansea City's display despite their loss to West Ham United this afternoon.

Andy Carroll scored a 77th-minute winner to condemn the Swans to their first defeat in eight Premier League matches, but Laudrup was not downbeat with his side's performance.

He said: "It could have gone either way. They had two good chances in first half through Kevin Nolan. In the second half, they had couple of chances but they weren't difficult to defend.

"Carroll scored a great goal. He was difficult to mark. We had two or three chances at end of game. We should have created more from the positions we were in.

"We could have and should have created a little more. We didn't have that last pass. I'm not happy with losing, but we didn't do anything specifically wrong."

Swansea have Premier League matches against Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool before the Capital One Cup final against Bradford City on February 24.
