Michael Laudrup respectful of Sam Allardyce

Michael Laudrup believes that Sam Allardyce has an effective style of football that is hard to play against.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has insisted that Sam Allardyce deserves respect for knowing exactly how he wants his teams to play.

Laudrup denied that there was a right and wrong way to play football and said that he is expecting a difficult time against the Hammers on Sunday.

"I like managers and teams who are very clear about what they want," Sky Sports News quotes Laudrup as saying. "There is not one truth in football. There is more than one way to play.

"People tend to think the winner is always right, but I always respect people who are very clear in what they want and what they are doing. There are some who say one thing and do another, but Sam Allardyce is very honest in what he wants and what he asks from his players.

"They are very strong and when we played them away last year they were very good so we know it will be difficult."

Swansea are currently 11th in the Premier League, two points above 15th-placed West Ham.
