Swansea City boss Francesco Guidolin insists that his position at the club is "not important" during their preparation for the game with Liverpool.

Swansea City boss Francesco Guidolin has said that he is focused on his side's Premier League clash with Liverpool, rather than his own position at the Liberty Stadium.

Reports have suggested that Ryan Giggs or Bob Bradley could replace Guidolin should the Welsh side lose against in-form Liverpool on Saturday, but the Italian has attempted to play down the speculation regarding his future.

The 60-year-old told reporters: "At the moment my position is not important, Swansea's position is important.

"The most important thing is that we get a good result to improve our position. It's clear for me, it's clear for the chairman, it's clear for everyone - it's important to win games."

Guidolin only signed a new two-year contract in the summer but Swansea have recorded just four points from five games in the top flight this season.
