Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to sell centre-back Davinson Sanchez this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to sell defender Davinson Sanchez, regardless as to who is appointed as the club's next manager this summer.

The Colombia international joined Spurs for around £42m from Ajax in August 2017, and is the second-most expensive signing in the club's history behind midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Tottenham are understood to be targeting a new central defender in this summer's transfer window and, according to Football Insider, they are planning to offload Sanchez to free up funds for a replacement.

Even though the 24-year-old still has over three years remaining on his current contract, Spurs will find it difficult to recoup the amount they paid for him and may have to accept a significant loss on the defender.

Sanchez has not played in any of Tottenham's last five Premier League games, including the three matches that interim boss Ryan Mason has been in charge for.

The centre-back has seemingly lost his place in the side to Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld, and has also fallen behind last summer's arrival Joe Rodon.

Sanchez has made 31 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring twice in Tottenham's FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Everton in February.
