Aston Villa will reportedly offer Jack Grealish an improved contract after rejecting two summer bids from Tottenham Hotspur for the midfielder.

Aston Villa are reportedly planning to offer Jack Grealish a new deal if they successfully ward off summer interest in the midfielder.

Grealish had looked increasingly likely to leave the Championship club earlier in the transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur leading the race for his signature and Villa needing to sell in order to ease their financial concerns.

However, the club have since received a significant cash injection and new chairman Nassef Sawiris has insisted that Grealish is not for sale at any price.

Spurs are understood to have made two bids for the 22-year-old - the first for a reported £3m plus Josh Onomah and the second closer to Villa's initial £25m asking price, but the capital outfit have now ended their interest.

PA reports that Villa now plan to offer Grealish improved terms to reflect his importance to the team, despite still having two years remaining on his current contract.

Grealish was thought to be keen on a move to Spurs in order to play in the Premier League, but will not demand a transfer away from his boyhood club.
