Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held discussions over the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Since joining the East Midlands outfit on a deal worth an initial £25m from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the 24-year-old has cemented himself as a key first-team star at the City Ground.

Gibbs-White has found the net on five occasions and provided 10 assists for the Tricky Trees in 36 Premier League over the course of the 2023-24 campaign.

The attacker shone once again in Forest's most recent game last weekend, when Nuno Espirito Santo's troops were ultimately defeated by Chelsea, although the former Wolves man managed to record two assists.

Manchester United have five first-team players out of contract at the end of next month, while a decision also needs to be made on the future of on-loan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

The Red Devils have the option to sign Amrabat on a permanent basis from Fiorentina, but as it stands, it is thought to be unlikely that the Morocco international will remain at Old Trafford.

Raphael Varane's exit on a free transfer has already been confirmed, but the Red Devils have decisions to make when it comes to the futures of four other first-team players.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the situations of the individuals who only have deals with the 20-time English champions until June 30.

Real Madrid have four first-team players out of contract at the end of June, while the club also need to make decisions on the futures of two more who are currently on loan.

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has dropped to number three at Bernabeu following Thibaut Courtois's return to fitness, and the Chelsea stopper is highly unlikely to join Real Madrid on a permanent basis this summer.

A long-term deal for Joselu is a serious possibility, though, with the forward, who is on loan from Espanyol, scoring 16 times during an impressive season, including a brace in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the situations of the four players who only have deals with the La Liga champions until June 30.

Arsenal 'set to lose teenage defender as new deal rejected'

Arsenal will reportedly lose one of their talented defensive prospects at the end of the season after failing to reach an agreement over a new deal.

Nineteen-year-old centre-back Reuell Walters is considered one of the top prospects in the Gunners' Hale End academy system, coming up with one goal and two assists in 23 games for the youth team this season.

Walters has already trained with Mikel Arteta's first team and made matchday squads in the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, but he has never played for the senior side competitively.

There was hope that the England Under-20 international would have made his debut in December's Champions League dead rubber with PSV Eindhoven, but to Gooners' chagrin, he was an unused substitute in that 1-1 draw.

Tottenham 'monitoring 19-year-old League One defender'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly running the rule over a 19-year-old League One defender ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Lilywhites head to Sheffield United for this weekend's Premier League finale having seen their hopes of Champions League qualification dashed in a 2-0 midweek loss to Manchester City.

Ange Postecoglou's side only require a point to finish fifth and qualify for the Europa League, but a shock loss would open the door for Chelsea to bump the struggling Spurs down to sixth place.

Five of Tottenham's last six Premier League matches have now ended in defeat, and keeping the back door shut has been a problem for Spurs all season long, having shipped 61 goals in the current Premier League season.

Chelsea's Gallagher 'rules out move to Premier League rivals'

Chelsea supporters have reportedly been handed a boost in their hopes of retaining the services of Conor Gallagher.

Having been given added seniority by head coach Mauricio Pochettino, the 24-year-old has been an influential figure in the Chelsea midfield this season.

A total of five goals and seven assists have come from 36 appearances in the Premier League, many of which from an advanced-midfield role ahead of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

However, an injury to the latter has led to Gallagher dropping deeper to play alongside Caicedo and Chelsea producing their best form of the season, recording four successive victories against Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Real Madrid 'make decision over future of Joselu'

Real Madrid have reportedly reached a decision over whether to sign Joselu on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

When Karim Benzema revealed that he wanted to move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, Los Blancos were required to find a short-term solution with the possibility of Kylian Mbappe arriving the following year.

A loan move for Espanyol forward Joselu proved to be their choice, taking advantage of their relegation to the second tier and the player wanting to move to a club that he has a close affinity to.

Acquiring the services of the former Stoke City frontman has been one of Real's shrewdest pieces of business in recent memory, the 34-year-old having established himself as an effective option in the final third.

Thiago Alcantara to leave Liverpool at end of contract

Liverpool have announced that veteran midfielder Thiago Alcantara will exit the club when his deal expires at the end of the season.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich man was a €22m (£18.9m) purchase from the latter team in 2020, although concerns were raised about his ability to fit into Jurgen Klopp's high-pressing system.

However, Thiago has proven to be a fundamental player for the Reds when fully fit, contributing three goals and six assists from 98 matches in all tournaments while winning one EFL Cup, one FA Cup and one Community Shield.

Injury problems have bedevilled the Spain international ever since he arrived in England, though, and he spent 10 months out with a hip issue before making his long-awaited comeback against Arsenal in February.

Liverpool have announced that one of their long-serving defenders will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Former Cameroon international Joel Matip has been a loyal servant to the Reds for eight years, having left Schalke 04 to join Jurgen Klopp's side in the summer of 2016.

Since touching down at Anfield, the centre-back has become a key defensive cog for Liverpool and has won seven major trophies under Klopp, including the 2019 Champions League and 2020 Premier League.

Formerly Virgil van Dijk's first-choice partner, Matip has played 201 times for Liverpool, registering 11 goals and six assists, but he has been restricted to just 14 appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
