Son Heung-min is pleased to see Tottenham Hotspur show their "strong mentality" as they came from behind to seal a 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Son Heung-min has praised Tottenham Hotspur's "strong mentality" as his side came from behind to seal a 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.

Four days on from losing 4-3 on aggregate to Juventus in the Champions League, Spurs fell behind at the Vitality Stadium when Junior Stanislas rifled home on seven minutes.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's charges surged to victory on the south coast thanks to Son's brace, in addition to Dele Alli's 35th-minute leveller and Serge Aurier's injury-time cherry on top.

"Of course scoring goals is really enjoyable," the South Korean told BBC Sport after the Premier League encounter. "After Wednesday, the most important thing was winning.

"It was a difficult game, difficult mentality after Wednesday but we are strong enough and we showed our strong mentality. In the second half we showed a really, really good performance.

"We are just thinking about Champions League [places]. We keep going game-by-game. A winning mentality is the most important."

Spurs have one more game to play, away at Swansea City in the FA Cup quarter-finals next weekend, before the two-week international break.
