Tony Pulis: 'We should have claimed win against Tottenham Hotspur'

Tony Pulis claims that West Bromwich Albion missed the chance to claim a victory in their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has claimed that his side missed a good opportunity to collect three points in their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at The Hawthorns.

James McClean cancelled out Dele Alli's opener in the first half as the Baggies recovered from a sluggish start, but neither team were able to find the winner after the break.

Despite extending their unbeaten run to three games, Pulis admits that it was disappointing not to pick up the win against Mauricio Pochettino's side.

"We were very slow out of the blocks and conceded a poor goal, but after that we created really good chances and should have won the game," the West Brom boss told reporters.

"Tottenham are a very good side, very organised, well-drilled and a fit team, so we had to be really on it today to get a result and we played really well."

West Brom sit 13th in the table, seven points above the relegation zone.
